We’ve all heard the phrase “step out of your comfort zone.” Well, what happens when you feel completely comfortable up until the point you realize you are in a whole new element and sudden feelings of insecurity and “imposter syndrome” occur?

Looking on social media, you will see many hashtags for women supporting women, female empowerment, girl power, women empowering women and more. While I feel all these hashtags and posts are important, what I find the most empowering is when we as women take action to actively support one another.

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we look back at all the fantastic achievements made by women who paved the road for women today. We as women have taken on leadership roles, combated biases, achieved success in all areas of life whether in sports, in corporate roles, the arts, education, family, politics and more.

There is a growing trend that is happening which is a cause of great concern with me.  More and more so I am witnessing the lack of empathy in our society.

By now, most of you have heard more about diversity and inclusion in the media.  In fact, in recent months major hotel chains, fashion houses, and financial institutions have brought in teams to develop diversity and inclusion training into their offices.
